Fryderyk Chopin, 12 Etudes Op. 10, ed. Roy Howat; part of the Peters Edition series The Complete Chopin: A New Critical Edition (Peters Edition, 2023, EP 73227)

In the same series: Trois Nouvelles Études (3 Études pour la Méthode des Méthodes), ed. Roy Howat (Peters Edition, 2021, EP 73229. These three enchanting pieces deserve more attention. Less virtuoso-sounding, they’re rarely used as competition fodder; they’re just gorgeous music, Chopin at his most imaginative, tender and playful.

The Op. 25 set of Etudes is now being proofed for publication in the same series, later in 2025.

Two mid-1970s critical editions by Roy Howat of Handel Solo Sonatas, originally published by OUP (Musica da camera nos. 25 & 26), remain available through Allegro Music:
